Sajevan Machadath, an autorickshaw driver from Arimbur, Kerala, has recently gained attention for his extraordinary skill to identify people solely by looking at their feet. This is an unusual talent, which seems unbelievable at first but has been verified by Local 18 Kerala, which reports that Sajevan has successfully identified the names of 500 individuals by just observing their feet, without ever seeing their faces.
In recognition of this talent, Sajevan's name was recorded in the Limca Book of World Records in 2011. Although he remained out of the spotlight for over a decade, he has now re-gained attention, captivating audiences by showing his unique ability to name individuals by simply looking at their feet. The residents of Arimbur have been thrilled to see Sajevan’s talent in action.
Sajevan first showed his exceptional memory in 2009 at Arimbur High School in Parakkad, Kerala. During this event, he identified the names of guests, irrespective of their gender, by glancing at their feet. He even accurately named the school’s owners just by looking at their footwear. This initial display of his skill set the stage for his continued excitement with feet-based identification.
Sajevan's Local Fame and Public Admiration
To prove the authenticity of his talent, Sajevan’s performances involve a specially prepared curtain that hides an individual's entire body except for their feet. This setup ensures that Sajevan cannot see any part of the person other than their feet, preventing any chance of cheating. Sajevan's ability is rooted in his sharp memory, as he recalls the names of people who have previously boarded his autorickshaw and then identifies them by their feet.
Sajevan’s memory has remained sharp over the years, allowing him to continue identifying people, including children, by just looking at their feet. This skill has not only brought him local fame but also gained admiration from the public who are both entertained and shocked by his talent.
In recognition of his unique ability, actor Nanda Kishore, known for his roles in films such as "Praveen IPS," "Lucky," and "Nalla," has led the residents of Arimbur in honouring Sajevan with gifts.
