Aryan Reddy, a 23-year-old student from India accidently shot himself on his birthday eve. While celebrating with friends at his home in Atlanta, Georgia, Reddy accidentally shot himself with a hunting gun, resulting in a fatal injury which took his life.

According to the officials, Reddy took out his new hunting gun to clean it but accidentally ended up firing a bullet that hit his chest.

After hearing the gunshot, Reddy's friends, who were in another room, quickly rushed to his room and found him lying in a pool of blood, according to officials. They immediately took him to a nearby hospital, but he was declared dead upon arrival.

Reddy, originally from Bhuvanagiri in Telangana, was a second-year Master of Science student at Kansas State University in Atlanta. His family now resides in the Uppal district. Officials stated that his body would be flown back to his hometown later that evening.

Aryan's father, Sudarshan Reddy, spoke out about the tragedy, asking parents to be aware of the risks of students having firearms while studying abroad. He urged that no family should have to go through such a painful experience.

Gun violence remains a major issue in the United States, fueling ongoing debates about public safety. As a result, there are growing calls for tougher gun control laws. Discussions are focusing on proposals like mandatory training, stricter storage regulations, and thorough background checks to reduce firearm-related incidents.
