Dhruv Loya, an Indian-origin engineer, recently shared his inspiring journey on LinkedIn on successfully securing a job at Elon Musk's Tesla. After an exhausting process that involved sending over 300 applications, more than 500 emails, and giving ten rounds of interviews over five months, he finally received an offer from his dream company.
Loya's post reflects the challenges he faced during his job search.

Despite having a strong academic background, including three internships, a good GPA, and active extracurriculars, he found himself unemployed for five months. His patience and relentless efforts ultimately paid off, leading to his well-deserved success.

Sharing the experience Loya said, “I lost my lease and health insurance and constantly worried about my visa status, knowing I could be forced to leave the U.S. at any moment. For months, I moved between friends’ apartments, slept on air mattresses, and saved every dollar I could. Today, I’m excited to say it was all worth it, I’ve landed a full-time job as a Technical Support Specialist at Tesla!”

He further added, “I know the job market is very tough, especially for international students. My advice to anyone facing this struggle is to treat applying to jobs as your 9-5 but make sure to use your evenings and weekends to unwind and do things you enjoy. I understand how emotionally draining this process can be.”

Loya shared some sources that helped him to get a job at Tesla. He suggested one can go with LinkedIn, Indeed, Handshake, and Jobright.ai for job searches, can use Hunter.io for cold emailing and ChatGPT+ to refine the resumes and cover letters". “Just keep manifesting, stay positive, and believe that things will fall into place!” advised Loyo.

Users were amazed by his journey and congratulated him on securing the role. Reacting to the post, one user said, “Congrats, Dhruv! I’m going through the same here in Australia. I have only just started, and it’s going to be a tough time ahead for me as well. Thank you for the advice and all the very best for your career," wrote another user.
