The Indian Army has displayed a captured Pakistan military drone of Turkish origin that was shot down on May 10 during Operation Sindoor.
According to officials, the drone was being operated by Pakistani forces and was intercepted as part of India’s efforts to protect its airspace and sensitive locations.
The interception was carried out during a series of defensive operations aimed at stopping unmanned aerial threats. Officials said the incident showed the army’s quick response and preparedness to deal with such dangers.
The Indian Army did not share detailed technical information about the drone.
However, defence experts quoted by ANI said such unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) are commonly used for surveillance, reconnaissance, or tactical attacks. Capturing an enemy drone can help India study foreign military technology and tactics.

Operation Sindoor was a military and strategic counter-terror operation launched by India in May, following a terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Kashmir, on April 22.
The attack killed 26 civilians. According to officials, the victims were allegedly separated and killed based on their religion.
The attack was linked to “The Resistance Front” (TRF), a terrorist group believed to be based in Pakistan.
Under Operation Sindoor, India carried out precision strikes on terrorist camps and infrastructure deep inside Pakistan. The operation marked a major shift in India’s counter-terror approach.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, “Operation Sindoor is not just a name. It is a reflection of the feelings of millions of people in the country. Operation Sindoor is an unbroken pledge of justice.”
The strikes reportedly eliminated over 100 terrorists and destroyed key terror bases. The operation sent a strong signal to those supporting terrorism.
PM Modi further said, “The enemy has now realised the consequences of removing ‘sindoor’ from the foreheads of our daughters and sisters.”
The Indian Army’s display of the captured drone comes as part of highlighting the success and vigilance shown during Operation Sindoor.
