The personal connection between President Joe Biden and Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been credited with much of the development in the growing relationship between the US and India, according to US Ambassador to India Eric Garcetti's remarks on Monday.

"The most pro-American prime minister we've ever seen in Indian history," according to Garcetti, is PM Modi. "The most pro-Indian president we've had in US history," he said of Biden, in an interview with news agency ANI.

“These are two men who have such a close friendship,” Garcetti said. “They are representative of the people in their countries, reflecting the growing closeness between our nations.”

Garcetti claims that this link is the foundation of the two nations' quickly growing connections, which have experienced a rise in recent years in strategic, economic, and cultural collaboration.

The envoy also emphasized the significance of the Quad, a strategic forum made up of Australia, Japan, India, and the United States, describing it as a "powerful" platform for collaboration in the Indo-Pacific area.

"The Quad is a place where we set a vision, share principles, and find common solutions," Garcetti noted. "It’s about standing up for the rule of law in a region where not every nation plays by the same rules."

He continued by saying that the forum acts as a check on countries that disagree with the values that the Quad members support. "We're proactively building solutions for an Indo-Pacific region that is free and prosperous," he said.

Prime Minister Modi, Prime Minister Fumio Kishida of Japan, and Prime Minister Anthony Albanese of Australia convened at the most recent Quad Summit, which was organized by President Joe Biden in Wilmington, Delaware, to talk about common issues and approaches in the Indo-Pacific area.

As Garcetti emphasised, the Quad represents a unified vision for the region. "We are standing up for principles that not every country shares, but together, we are building a better future," he said.
