In a significant development, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is poised to lead the momentous inauguration of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya on January 22, 2023. This historic event, eagerly awaited by millions of devotees, will witness the consecration of the temple, a symbol of cultural and spiritual significance for the Hindu community.

Reports suggest that Prime Minister Modi will address the attendees from the majestic 'Singh Dwar,' the main entrance to the temple, emphasizing the profound cultural and religious importance of the occasion. The consecration event is expected to draw lakhs of devotees to Ayodhya, converging to witness the grand opening of the temple.

The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra, entrusted with the construction and management of the temple, is actively involved in the preparations for the event. Today's meeting is slated to discuss crucial aspects, including the installation of the idol of Lord Ram inside the sanctum sanctorum. The choice of the idol, which will be a focal point of worship, will be carefully deliberated upon during the meeting.

In the lead-up to the ceremony, Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya spearheaded a cleanliness campaign in Ayodhya. The initiative, aptly named 'Swachh Rahe Shri Ram Ka Dham' (Lord Ram's place should be cleaned), underscores the collective effort to maintain cleanliness in the revered city.

Trust secretary Champat Rai provided insights into the architectural marvel of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi temple, detailing the extensive use of stone in its construction. A staggering 21-22 lakh cubic feet of stone, sourced from various regions, has been employed in crafting the monumental structure. Rai highlighted the unprecedented nature of the construction, asserting that such a massive stone structure has not been witnessed in North or South India in the last century.

The foundation of the temple boasts a 56-layered artificial rock, a testament to engineering ingenuity. Additionally, a plinth comprising 17,000 granite blocks from Karnataka and Telangana has been meticulously laid, elevating the structure 21 feet above the ground. The temple's aesthetic appeal is further enhanced by the use of around five lakh cubic feet of pink-colored sandstone from Bharatpur, Rajasthan. Notably, the sanctum sanctorum, where the primary deity will reside, is crafted from pure white Makrana marble.

During Wednesday's announcement, trust secretary Champat Rai shared that among three designs, a 51-inch tall idol of Lord Ram, portraying a five-year-old Ram Lalla, will be chosen for installation. The decision will hinge on the idol's divine essence and its childlike representation.

Prime Minister Modi's visit to Ayodhya on Saturday will not only mark the inauguration of the Ayodhya airport but also the unveiling of the revamped railway station, designed in alignment with the architectural aesthetics of the grand Ram Temple. This dual inauguration underscores the holistic development and infrastructural enhancements in Ayodhya, reinforcing its status as a cultural and religious hub.

As the nation eagerly awaits the historic moment on January 22, the grand consecration of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya stands as a testament to the enduring cultural and spiritual legacy that resonates across the hearts of millions.
