Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri statement has claimed that with the speed of Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) led Centre, India might attain the status of a developed country in the next 10-15 years before the target set for 2047, addressing a trader's convention in Amar Colony, New Delhi, urging the traders to help the BJP win all the seven seats in Delhi in the ongoing Lok Sabha polls.

"When Narendra Modi became the prime Minister in 2014, the country was the 10th-largest economy of the world and now, it is the fifth largest. In the next two years, it will attain the position of the world's third-largest economy, surpassing Germany and Japan," he said.

Mr. Puri continued, saying that Delhi must grow into a capital befitting the third-largest economy in the world. He also gave the traders his word that he would support the market's growth in Amar Colony.

He mocked the AAP politician, adding, "He has come out (of Tihar Jail) on interim bail after enjoying state hospitality, but the case against him is still on," as he criticised Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal for his outbursts against Modi and the BJP.

Mr. Puri stated that in the current parliamentary elections, there are two opposing models of development: the "revri (freebies)" model of Delhi and PM Modi's model. Along with Puri, the saffron party's national general secretary Dushyant Gautam, union minister V K Singh, chief of the Assam government Himanta Biswa Sarma, national president of the BJP Yuva Morcha Tejasvi Surya, and chief of the Delhi BJP Virendra Sachdeva also campaigned for the party's candidates for the Lok Sabha elections on Sunday.

Sikhs staged a motorbike rally early in the morning, traveling from the Delhi BJP office to the party's main headquarters. Manjinder Singh Sirsa, the national secretary of the BJP, led the motorcycle rally. Additionally, the saffron party launched a campaign to distribute voter slips.

Additionally, Jayant Chaudhary, the president of Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD), a constituent of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), spoke at an OBC (Other Backward Classes) conference at Nand Nagari. “Prime Minister Narendra Modi has rightfully honored the OBC community in the government and within his party organization. The result of the respect received from the prime minister is that today, the OBC community stands firmly behind the NDA,” Chaudhary said.

He applauded Prime Minister Modi for treating the OBC group with dignity inside the government and party structure, saying that this has resulted in the OBC community's strong support for the NDA. Vice-President of the Delhi BJP Kapil Mishra also spoke at conferences in the seats of West Delhi and North West Delhi, respectively, with an emphasis on OBC and Poorvanchal Morcha.
