In Gujarat's Morbi, a shocking incident unfolded where a businesswoman allegedly subjected a former sales manager to brutal treatment. The businesswoman, identified as Vibhuti alias Raniba Patel, is the owner of a ceramic company called Raniba Industries. The victim, Nilesh Dalsaniya, a Dalit, faced severe physical abuse and humiliation for repeatedly asking Patel about his unpaid salary for 18 days of work.

Dalsaniya filed a complaint at the Morbi A-division police station, detailing the horrific incident. According to his account, he was fired in the middle of last month due to performance issues. On Wednesday, he, accompanied by his elder brother Mehul and friend Bhavesh Makwana, approached Patel to inquire about his pending salary.

The situation escalated when Om Patel, Raj Patel, Parikshit, and DD Rabari, along with an unknown person, assaulted Dalsaniya. The assault included slapping and beating him with a belt. They took him to the company's terrace where the physical abuse continued. The attackers also hurled casteist slurs at Dalsaniya during the assault.

Dalsaniya revealed that he was forced to record a video apologizing for allegedly attempting to extort money from Patel. In a second video, he was coerced to apologize and commit to not contacting Patel for his unpaid salary. The brutality reached an appalling level when Patel allegedly forced Dalsaniya to lick her boots. Moreover, she threatened to kill him if he was spotted near the location of their factory.

The victim, now admitted to a civic hospital, shared details about his employment at Raniba Industries. He had joined the company's export division on October 2 and was terminated on October 18. Dalsaniya was awaiting his 18 days' salary amounting to Rs 12,000, which should have been credited on November 5. Frustrated by the non-payment, he called and texted Patel, triggering her anger and the subsequent brutal treatment.

Vibhuti alias Raniba Patel, the founder and chairman of Raniba Industries, primarily manufactures tiles for export purposes. The incident has gained attention not only for its brutality but also for the application of the Prevention of Atrocities Act, as Dalsaniya is a Dalit.

The legal consequences for Patel and the others involved are significant. They have been booked under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and the Prevention of Atrocities Act. This underscores the severity of the incident and the recognition of caste-based discrimination and violence against the victim.
