In a horrific and heartbreaking incident, a 13-year-old boy was first forced to change his gender in Delhi's Geeta colony by six men, who later went on to gangrape him on multiple occasions over a period of several months.

According to a report, the minor victim met the accused in Delhi's Laxmi Nagar area about 3 years ago at a dance event and was later invited by them to Mandavali area on the promise of learning dance. The victim started going to learn dance and got some money as well and then he was told he would’ve to dance at events and he would be given some money for it.

The victim has reportedly told the police that the accused gave him intoxicating substances when he was just 13 years old. He also said that the four accused forcefully performed a gender change surgery on him and also gave him hormonal medicines, which sped up his transition. The boy said, “They removed my genitals and made me a eunuch. I am neither a boy nor a girl now”, but the SHO of Geeta Colony police station has denied the allegations of a sex reassignment surgery. The hospital, however, refused to comment on it.

The victim further told the police that the accused had allegedly gang-raped him repeatedly and even brought customers for him, who would exploit him sexually on multiple occasions, he also that he was forced him to beg at red lights as a eunuch. They also threatened the victim with his life and told him that they would kill his parents if he tried to file a complaint with the police.

However, during the Covid-19 time in March last year, the victim managed to escape and reach his mother, who got a rented accommodation. For a few months they were safe, but the accused men got to know about their whereabouts of the victim and brought both of them back to the same place and raped them.

A few days later, the two children again managed to escape the captivity and reached New Delhi Railway station where they hid for a whole day. A lawyer then spotted the two of them and took them to the Delhi Commission for Women.

At present, a case has been filed against the accused with charges under Sections 377, 363, 326, 506, 341 of IPC and provisions of the POCSO Act.

Two men were arrested for the heinous crime while two others are still absconding, Delhi commission for Women said.

In a statement, the DCW said it is providing legal aid to both the survivors and is also working for their rehabilitation and protection.
