Five people died and many others got hurt after falling from an overcrowded train in Mumbai on Monday morning. The accident happened between Diva and Kopar railway stations on the Central Railway line during busy peak hours.

According to early reports, 10 to 12 passengers fell from a local train going towards Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT). The train was very crowded, and many people were hanging from the doors when the accident happened.

The injured people were found on the railway tracks and taken to a hospital in Kalwa. Sadly, five of them were declared dead at the hospital. The dead passengers were between 30 and 35 years old. The process to identify them is still going on.

After this accident, the railway board announced some safety changes. They said that all new trains made for the Mumbai Suburban Railway will have automatic door-closing systems. The board also said they will redesign the trains currently in use and add automatic door closing in all of them.

This step is expected to make train travel safer and prevent accidents like this in the future. Passengers hanging from train doors is very risky, and the railway board wants to stop this from happening again.
