A tragic incident has unfolded in the Koramangala district of Bengaluru, Karnataka. A massive fire broke out in a multi-story building that houses a café, car showroom, and gym among other establishments. What's worse, a man caught in the fire jumped from the top floor, resulting in grave injuries.
The dreadful fire broke out around noon in the 'Mud Pipe Cafe' as it was reported. The café, situated on the fourth floor of the commercial building, was apparently hit by an explosion due to several stored LPG cylinders. Fortunately, the cafe didn't have customers when the event took place.
Emergency Response and Injuries
In response to the crisis, eight fire engines were promptly dispatched to the spot to end the fire. An official representing the fire department shared policing insights by stating:
“People in the vicinity heard blast-like sounds. We had sent eight fire tenders to the spot and our senior officers were there. The fire has been extinguished. Two people have suffered major injuries,”
This was shared by a fire officer with PTI. One of the injured was a man who, panicking, leaped from the fourth storey of the building with the building engulfed in flames. He is now admitted to a hospital.
Social Media Stirred by the Event
With more and more bystanders taking to social media, the incident quickly became the talk of the town. Various social media platforms were flooded with videos of incidents, showing thick smoke coming from the building with the victim jumping off from the top.

Other than alerting the authorities, locals also took swift action, assisting in the rescue efforts to find and help anyone possibly trapped inside the commercial hub.
