Boeing India is set to make a significant stride in its nationwide operations by opening its largest facility outside the United States, right here in Bengaluru. The 43-acre complex, located in the burgeoning Aerospace Park near Kempegowda International Airport in Devanahalli, represents a mammoth investment of Rs 1600 crore. But that's just the beginning.

This new facility aims to accelerate Boeing's sourcing from India to a yearly target of Rs 10,000 crore, up from the current Rs 8000 crore.

In a strategic move when Bengaluru is witnessing exponential expansion towards the north, Boeing has made the wise choice of building the sprawling site in Devanahalli. Devanahalli is rapidly becoming the new city hub, primarily due to its proximity to the Kempegowda International Airport.

Contributing factors include the soon-to-come Blue metro line that will connect KR Pura with Yelahanka and the airport, which will significantly increase the accessibility and convenience of the location.

These developments have led to increased job opportunities and a higher demand for housing in the region, making it the ideal spot for Boeing's new largest headquarters.

Though headquartered in Delhi, India's operations span across the nation. It currently operates field service offices in Mumbai, Hindan, Rajali, and New Delhi. In addition, there's a rapidly expanding Boeing India Engineering & Technology Center (BIETC) in Bengaluru and Chennai.

This decision comes on the heels of Air India placing firm orders of over 200 jets from earlier this year. The shopping list included 20 787 Dreamliners, 10 777Xs, and 190 737 MAX narrowbody aircraft.

This action resulted in a $100 million investment from Boeing, committed to infrastructure and pilot training programs in India.

Such expansion and investment are marking an immense upswing in Boeing's India operations, laying the foundation for further growth.
