An auto driver from Bengaluru, Girish, showed exemplary care in getting a passenger to return a missing gold chain. Chitra, a Mysuru resident, who was traveling to Bengaluru, lost her gold chain after she rode in Girish's auto, Girish later identified her house and returned her gold chain personally with the value, garnering her admiration and spreading it far and wide through social media.

Moved by Girish's honesty, Chitra shared a heartfelt video online, praising his gesture. "Meet Girish, the auto driver who searched for me to return my lost chain," she shared in the video. "I came to Bengaluru from Mysuru yesterday and missed my gold chain. I was wondering where I had lost it, and it took me by surprise when Girish knocked on my door with the gold chain. I cannot thank him enough as there are fewer auto drivers like him.” Chitra, who heads the Taliru Foundation, an organization that empowers women by training them in auto rickshaw driving, expressed immense gratitude, calling him a rare example of honesty.
