In Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, the Ram Mandir is getting ready for a special ceremony to honour Lord Ram Lalla, called Pran Pratistha. The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, in charge of building the temple, is busy preparing for the ceremony on January 22.

This big event will have Prime Minister Narendra Modi and important guests from around the world. People from all over the globe have been helping to build the temple. In the last three years, donations to the temple Trust have reached almost Rs 5,000 crore. All the money received goes to specific bank accounts of the Trust. Additionally, they get daily donations, up to Rs 2 lakh, through online transactions, checks, and cash. Monthly donations are estimated to be around Rs 1 crore.

Information on the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust website shows that Morari Bapu, a well-known spiritual leader, has given the highest donation of Rs 11.3 crore to the Ayodhya Ram temple. Morari Bapu’s followers from the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom have also given an extra Rs 8 crore together.

A businessman from Gujarat, Govindbhai Dholakia, who owns Sri Ramakrishna Exports and deals in diamonds, has donated Rs 11 crore for building the temple. Morari Bapu, famous for his 'Ram Katha,' has consistently supported the Ayodhya Ram temple construction. He is an expert on Ram Charit Manas and has been sharing the story for over fifty years worldwide.

The effort to collect funds for the Ayodhya Ram temple started on January 14, 2021, led by former President Ramnath Kovind. He became the first donor, giving Rs 5 lakh to the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust through a check.
