Union Home Minister Amit Shah announced that India used its own BrahMos missiles during a military mission called Operation Sindoor to hit air bases inside Pakistan. The operation, according to him, showed how strong India’s defense has become and how weak Pakistan’s response was.

Speaking at an event in Ahmedabad, Shah shared that the BrahMos, a powerful supersonic missile made in India, was used to destroy several important Pakistani air bases.

“As our indigenously developed BrahMos (supersonic cruise missile system) worked to destroy Pakistan’s air bases, its own air defence system, borrowed from China, remained unused. Our Air Force carried out precise attacks and inflicted heavy damage on many places in Pakistan, which were considered impregnable," he said, as reported by PTI.

Shah pointed out that this operation went further than previous military strikes. Earlier missions only targeted areas in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). But this time, Indian forces went 100 kilometers inside Pakistan to stop terrorist groups and their centers.

The Home Minister said that Operation Sindoor was not just about defense, but also about telling the truth to the world.

“Pakistan used to tell the whole world that no terrorist activity happens there and accused India of making false complaints. But, terrorists were finished with missiles under ‘Operation Sindoor’ and Pakistan was exposed to the world," Shah said.

Shah described Operation Sindoor as a major moment in India’s history. He said it would always be remembered for protecting the country’s borders and showing the world the truth about terrorism in the region.

“Operation Sindoor will be written in golden letters when the history is written on the border safety," he added.
