Amazon India has launched Aapki Suvidha Ke Liye, Aaram Ki Delivery; Amazon-Dibbon Se Badhkarinitiavtive  which includes arranging its iconic cardboard packaging as comfortable beds for devotees at the Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh.

Maha Kumbh Mela is a 45-day festival held every 12 years, during which millions of devotees gather in January and February. To address the unique challenges of ensuring comfort for the massive influx of pilgrims, the company has reimagined its iconic cardboard packaging boxes as comfortable beds.

The initiative, aptly titled ‘Aapki Suvidha Ke Liye, Aaram Ki Delivery; Amazon—Dibbon Se Badhkar’, captures the essence of service and innovation. By combining practicality with sustainability, Amazon has ensured that the well-being of devotees remains a priority during this grand spiritual event in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh.

At Amazon India, we always look for creative ways to make a positive impact on the communities we serve,” said Pragya Sharma, Director of Marketing at Amazon India. “Our partnership with the Maha Kumbh Mela reflects this commitment. Through our Amazon boxes, which people trust for reliable service, we wanted to bring comfort and care to the attendees. By turning these boxes into beds, we found a simple yet meaningful way to meet a real need and make a difference for the devotees. It’s not just about thinking differently- it’s about using what we have to help truly.”

The upcycled box beds will be distributed free of cost to ensure they reach as many attendees as possible. To ensure reliability and safety, a team of experts has rigorously tested the beds for wear and tear under local conditions.

This initiative was made possible through Amazon India’s collaboration with the Maha Kumbh authorities, focusing on placing these beds strategically across the festival grounds. Key locations, such as the lost and found centre, have been prioritized to assist those in need. Apart from this, a significant number of beds have been allocated to Kumbh Police personnel and the Kumbh Hospital. The rest will be made available to the general public, ensuring maximum comfort for pilgrims attending the event.

"Everyone is resting peacefully in a cool and comfortable environment, what more could we ask for? I sincerely thank Amazon for these thoughtful arrangements. Their efforts for the devotees in the city of Ganga are truly remarkable," said the Matron of Central Hospital, Kumbh Mela.

After the event, Amazon India will dispose of the unusable beds responsibly, while the ones in good condition will be donated to local NGOs.

Through the ‘Aapki Suvidha Ke Liye, Aaram Ki Delivery; Amazon—Dibbon Se Badhkar’ initiative, the company highlights how everyday items like delivery boxes can be creatively repurposed to benefit society.
