Speaking at the Utkarsh Odisha-Make in Odisha Conclave 2025, PM Modi pointed out that India attracts artists from all over the world. He noted that with the country's rich heritage in music, dance, and storytelling, combined with a large youth population and a growing consumer base for concerts, there are significant opportunities in the concert industry. He also mentioned the increasing popularity of live events, citing the massive success of Coldplay concerts in Mumbai and Ahmedabad as proof of the growing demand.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that India will host its first-ever World Audio-Visual Summit next month, aiming to showcase the nation’s creative strength on a global platform.He emphasized the impact of the concert economy, stating, "It boosts tourism, creates countless jobs, and generates significant revenue for states."

Coldplay wraps up India tour
British band Coldplay wrapped up their India tour on Monday with a final concert in Ahmedabad as part of their ongoing 'Music of the Spheres World Tour.' The band, comprising Chris Martin, Guy Berryman, Jonny Buckland, and Will Champion, expressed gratitude to their fans for the love and support shown over the last two weeks. The tour kicked off in Mumbai on January 18, with three shows, followed by two performances in Ahmedabad on January 25 and 26.
Earlier, Punjabi superstar Diljit Dosanjh completed his highly successful Dil-Luminati India Tour. The two-month-long tour, which began on October 26, spanned the nation and concluded on New Year's Eve. The tour became a historic milestone as Dil-Luminati India Tour 2024 achieved the title of the highest-grossing concert tour in India, with 2.5 lakh tickets sold.
