IIM student found dead after birthday celebration
In another sad incident, Nilay Kailashbhai Patel, a 29-year-old student at IIM Bangalore, was found dead on the hostel grounds early Sunday morning.
Nilay, who was from Gujarat, had just celebrated his birthday and was excited about starting a new job at a fashion e-commerce company. Around 6:30 am, security staff found him lying unconscious on the hostel lawn. Medical help arrived quickly, but he was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Police think Nilay may have accidentally fallen from the second floor of the hostel building while going to his room late at night. His friends said he didn’t show any signs of being upset, and no suicide note was found.
Both Nilay’s death and the earlier loss of eight-year-old Tejaswini have deeply saddened communities in Chamarajanagar and IIM Bangalore.
