The Delhi Police has launched a fresh effort to ensure security measures in Delhi ahead of the G20 Summit on September 9-10. It has set up a mobile police station in the national capital to make it easier for citizens to register a complaint or lodge a FIR.

CCTV cameras, PCs, internet, and walkie-talkie are among the amenities provided by the mobile police station. It also includes a public display system that will broadcast vital messages throughout the G20 meeting.

More than 40,000 Delhi Police personnel are on Summit duty until September 10, according to authorities. To guarantee greater security, police officers have been ordered to remain in station barracks or near police stations until September 11 so that they may be called when needed.

According to Delhi Police PRO Suman Nalwa, police officers are working in double shifts to guarantee the safety of citizens in the national capital during the G20 Summit.

Police officers were also seen monitoring the area near Raj Ghat with the aid of a tractor in a video provided by news agency ANI.

Ten police pickets have been set up in Shahdra to ensure frequent patrolling of the region. In response, Shahdra DCP Incharge Harsh Indora stated, "At Shahdra, 10 pickets are in place." External forces have arrived. Our security is on duty 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Foot marching and patrols occur on a regular basis. We are shutting all market segments on schedule."

"Many international events have been successfully secured by Delhi Police. However, the G20 is a generational event, and every one of us takes satisfaction in working relentlessly to ensure a smooth event," said PRO Suman Nalwa.

World leaders including US President Joe Biden, UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, French President Emmanuel Macron, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, People's Republic of China Premier Li Qiang, and others will visit India for the Group of 20 Summit on September 9-10.

A surge in Khalistani upheaval has necessitated this effort as well. The beautification of Delhi witnessed a separatist pro-Khalistani graffiti at more than five metro stations in New Delhi. The graffiti read  ‘Delhi Banega Khalistan’ and ‘Khalistan SFJ Referendum Zindabad’ across the city blackened walls.

The Founder of SFJ (Sikhs for Justice) and Khalistani separatist Gurupatwant Singh Pannu in an audio message called on the Kashmiri Muslims of the Valley to go to Delhi and disrupt the G20 Summit happening in the end of September first week. These agitation-inducing callouts by underworld criminals and anti-nationals must not deter the Summit but also be causal for extra precaution and security.
