Following the conclusion of the first day of discussions at the G20 summit, President Draupadi Murmu will host a lavish dinner for all the foreign delegates in attendance, including the heads of state. The Indian government has made every effort to ensure that this two-day event is a grand affair.
While it is widely known that the Indian government is promoting millets, given that the entire year is dedicated to them, the culinary offerings for this occasion are not limited to millets alone. Instead, a diverse selection of dishes has been meticulously curated for this special event.
According to reports, the dinner is expected to be served using silverware. As per PTI reports, the entire menu has been thoughtfully crafted to incorporate seasonal ingredients for the extravagant dinner. Furthermore, the tableware is described as having a foundation of steel or brass, or a combination of both with silver plating, with some plates designated for serving welcome drinks.
While officials have chosen not to disclose the precise menu, it is anticipated that the dinner will showcase India's rich culinary diversity. The extravagant dinner is scheduled to be served at the Bharat Mandapam following the conclusion of the first day of the summit.
According to a media report, the grand dinner will consist of a 4-course purely vegetarian menu featuring dishes such as Paneer Lababdar, Subz Korma, Potato Lyonnaise, Kaju Matar Makhana, Jowar Dal Tadka, Pyaaz Jeera Ka Pulao, Cucumber Raita, Tandoori Roti, Butter Naan, Kulcha, Roasted Almond and Vegetable Broth, as well as desserts including Kuttu Malpua and Kesar Pista Rasmalai.
