My father was a homoeopathic practitioner and would treat the poor for free. This was the base for my motivation to deal with the nutrition challenge in the country,” said Raju Bhupati.

Raju Bhupati comes from Amalapuram in Andhra Pradesh. He initially pursued a career in the IT sector, working in the United States for several years.

Troo Good: Revolutionizing Nutrition with Millet Snacks

In 2012, he made a career shift, leaving his job as the global delivery head at a large IT firm to follow his entrepreneurial dreams.

His first step was running a cloud kitchen until 2017, but it was not until later that he discovered his true passion in making nutritious food accessible to all.

In 2018, Raju founded Troo Good, a company based in Hyderabad that produces millet-based snacks.

The mission behind Troo Good is to provide nutritious and affordable food options. Since its start, Troo Good has grown to become India’s leading millet snack company.

The company’s flagship product is millet chikkis which is a popular choice among consumers.

Troo Good sells an impressive 2 million millet chikkis daily and is predicted to achieve a revenue of Rs 100 crore this year.

Troo Good’s commitment to nutrition extends beyond creating tasty snacks. The company actively collaborates with organizations like The Akshaya Patra Foundation and Vedanta to enhance nutrition in Anganwadis, which are rural childcare centers.

These partnerships aim to ensure that children in these centers receive nutritious meals, contributing to their overall health and well-being.

Troo Good’s approach, termed ‘farm to fork,’ makes sure about the highest quality of products while also making a social impact.

This involves working directly with farmers, and supporting the agricultural community.

The company collaborates with over 15,000 farmers, making Troo Good the largest millet purchaser in India.

This direct engagement not only guarantees the quality of the raw materials but also provides fair prices and a stable income for the farmers.
