Actor Saif Ali Khan was attacked at his home in Bandra, Mumbai, early this morning. According to the police, he was stabbed six times during a fight with an intruder. The attack happened around 2:30 am when the actor was at home. CCTV cameras at his house didn’t show anyone entering the house in the two hours before the attack. This means that the attacker might have come in earlier and was waiting for the right time to strike.

The police checked the CCTV footage from midnight onwards and saw that no one entered the house during that time. This makes the police think that the attacker may have already been inside and was hiding. After the fight, the attacker ran away. The police are now closely watching the CCTV footage to find out who did it.

Saif Ali Khan was quickly taken to Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai for treatment. Reports say he was stabbed six times, with two of the wounds being deep, including one near his spine. He is currently having surgery.

The police have confirmed the details of the incident, stating, "An unidentified person intruded in the residence of actor Saif Ali Khan. The actor and the intruder had a scuffle. The actor is injured and is being treated. Investigation is going on."

This high-profile attack in Bandra has raised concerns about law and order in Mumbai, especially in areas with many celebrities. The opposition has questioned the safety of citizens, with Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Priyanka Chaturvedi stating, "What a shame that Mumbai sees another high-profile attempt on life; the attack on Saif Ali Khan yet again raises questions on Mumbai Police and the Home Minister."

She also mentioned other incidents involving famous people, such as the murder of politician Baba Siddique and a shooting outside actor Salman Khan's house, to point out the security problems in the city.

In a statement, the actor’s team asked for patience, saying, "It's a police matter. We will keep you updated on the situation." Fans and media are waiting for more updates on his condition.

Who was connected to the attacker?

Initial findings suggest that the attacker might have had help from someone inside the house. Police sources told NDTV that the intruder was connected to one of the household workers, who might have assisted him. They believe the attacker could have been hiding inside the house before the attack happened.

Investigation

The Mumbai Police detained three employees from actor Saif Ali Khan's residence on Thursday following an attack on him at his home. According to IANS, the three individuals are interrogated at the police station.

The investigation into the Saif Ali Khan stabbing incident went deeper on Thursday as the Mumbai Police started examining how the attacker could reach the 12th floor of the building where the actor resides with his family.

Khan lives on the 12th floor of one of the fanciest residential complexes in Bandra.

According to sources, the Mumbai Police now suspect that the attacker may have accessed the building where actor Saif Ali Khan resides by crossing over from a neighbouring structure.

One of the female staff members who was present at the house was also attacked, the police said, adding that she was being treated at a hospital. The police have taken the injured caretaker to the Bandra Police Station, where her statement is currently being recorded.

Sources suggest that the police's initial investigation has determined that no terrorist organisation is responsible for the attack on Saif Ali Khan, an actor.

The crime branch has discovered crucial evidence in the case; the whole truth is bound to come out sooner.

DCP Dixit Gedam said that the suspect in the stabbing incident involving actor Saif Ali Khan probably escaped through a fire exit.

As reported from the initial enquiries, the burglar is known to have accessed the flat via the fire escape. Thus, an attempted robbery would be assumed, and according to DCP Gedam, 10 police teams are actively searching for the criminal. From the CCTVs, a particular person was caught walking within the flat.

According to DCP Gedam, the attacker climbed through a pipe into the building, and the lack of proper security is a glaring failure. The suspect allegedly entered the room through an open window, where he was hiding when seen by the maid.

The Bandra Police have tracked down the location of the accused and are now on their way to arrest the suspect.
