Bollywood actor Govinda has been admitted to CritiCare Hospital in Juhu, Mumbai, after he fainted at home on Tuesday night. The 61-year-old actor suddenly fell unconscious due to disorientation, his friend and legal advisor Lalit Bindal told NDTV.

According to Bindal, Govinda was not feeling well and consulted a doctor over the phone. He was given some medicine after the telephonic consultation, but when his condition did not improve, his family rushed him to the hospital. “He was given medicine after consulting a doctor and was admitted to the hospital in an emergency at 1 am,” Bindal said.

The actor has undergone several medical tests and is now waiting for the reports. However, Bindal did not share further details about his current health condition. Doctors are monitoring him closely to determine the cause of his sudden illness.

This is not the first time Govinda has faced a health-related emergency. In October last year, he had a serious accident at home when he accidentally shot himself in the leg with his licensed revolver. The incident happened when the actor was keeping the gun inside a cupboard. The weapon slipped from his hand, hit the ground, and went off. The bullet struck just below his knee.

Govinda was immediately taken to the same hospital, CritiCare, and admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). He underwent an hour-long surgery to remove the bullet. After his recovery, the actor recalled the terrifying incident, saying, “I was leaving for a show in Kolkata early in the morning around 5. The gun fell and suddenly went off. I was shocked and then saw a fountain of blood coming out.”

At that time, Govinda was accompanied by his doctor, who helped him reach the hospital quickly. Govinda, known for his energetic dance moves and comic timing, has been a beloved figure in Bollywood since the 1980s. Fans across the country are now praying for his speedy recovery.
