Dayaben, a well-known character played by Disha Vakani, has been absent from Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah for more than six years. Disha, who used to play Daya Jethalal Gada in Asit Kumar Modi's sitcom, had an extended maternity break in 2017 and hasn't made an appearance since. For all TMKOC enthusiasts, there may be some good news, though.

Producer Asit Modi announced that he would soon be bringing back fans' beloved Disha Vakani aka Dayaben to celebrate his 15 years of successfully delighting viewers. In this 15-year journey, a sincere congratulations to each of them, he remarked. We must not forget one such artist. It is Daya Bhabhi, also known as Disha Vakani. Through the years, she has amused her followers and made us chuckle as well. Disha Vakani's return has been eagerly anticipated by her fans, and I can assure you that she will soon return to Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah.

Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah has been performing well for the last 15 years. Actors Disha Vakani, Bhavya Gandhi, Shailesh Lodha, and Neha Mehta among others have left the show over the years. Raj Anadkat, who once played Tappu in the well-known sitcom, quit the programme recently as well. Asit addressed the constant exits of many actors from the show in March this year, he said, “I am also tired of answering and requesting people not to ask this question. But I am the producer of the show and therefore I’ll have to answer. Disha is like my sister. She wants to spend time with her family. If she does not want to come back, I cannot force her." The show had been on a constant search for a new actress to play the role of Daya Bhabhi but was unsuccessful even after six years.
