On Wednesday, Punjabi actor-singer Diljit Dosanjh started off the new year on a high note as he met Prime Minister Narendra Modi. While sharing some pictures from the meeting on X, Diljit mentioned, “A fantastic start to 2025. A very memorable meeting with PM @narendramodi Ji. We talked about a lot of things including music of course!”
Prime Minister Modi also shared his thoughts on the interaction on X, writing, “A great interaction with Diljit Dosanjh! He’s truly multifaceted, blending talent and tradition. We connected over music, culture and more.”
Diljit wrapped up his hugely successful 'Dil-Luminati India Tour' on New Year's Eve in Ludhiana. The grand finale took place at the Punjab Agriculture University ground, marking the end of the two-month tour that started in New Delhi on October 26.
The singer-actor shared clips from the Ludhiana event on Instagram, where he wrote, “VIBE CHECK KAR. Happy Happy New Year Folks. THIS IS MY CITY LUDHIANA. DIL-LUMINATI TOUR's Grand Finale Doesn’t Get BIGGER Than This.”
The last concert included crowd-pleasers such as "G.O.A.T." and the emotional song "Main Hoon Punjab" from his critically acclaimed film Amar Singh Chamkila. Diljit also brought out veteran Punjabi singer and politician Muhammad Sadiq on stage, referring to him as the "REAL OG," and the two performed Sadiq's hit track "Malki Keema."
The Dil-Luminati India Tour was the "biggest tour in Indian history," according to Diljit.
Diljit dedicated his December 30 concert in Guwahati to former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, who passed away on December 26.
He shared a video from the concert on Instagram, saying, “Today’s Concert is dedicated to Dr Manmohan Singh Ji. DIL-LUMINATI TOUR Year 24.”
Speaking to the audience, Diljit highlighted the lessons he learned from Dr. Singh’s life. “He lived a very simple life. Even if someone talked ill about him, he never reverted in the same manner. In politics, it's the toughest thing to avoid,” he said, emphasizing the former prime minister’s dignified demeanor and calm approach in difficult situations.
