In a recent episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati Season 16, contestant Nareshi Meena left host Amitabh Bachchan visibly emotional after sharing her battle with a brain tumour. During the show, Nareshi revealed that although she had undergone surgery, the tumor could not be completely removed due to its delicate position. She explained that she requires proton therapy, a costly treatment, and had come on the show in hopes of winning the money needed for her care.

Moved by her story, Amitabh Bachchan promised to cover the expenses for her treatment. Nareshi ultimately won Rs 50 lakh on the show, a victory that has since transformed her life. According to the Indian Express report, Nareshi discussed how her appearance on KBC silenced many of her critics and shared that Amitabh Bachchan’s team has already begun assisting her with the necessary treatment.

She stated, “His team has gotten in touch with me. They asked me to select the doctor and hospital where I need to get my therapy done. He will directly transfer the money to that hospital. He said they will spend as much money as needed; I just need to talk to them. The Rs 50 lakh winning amount will come to me, and the money that goes into my treatment will come from Big B sir’s pocket.”

Revealing how her stint on KBC 16 was a dream come true, she said, “Meeting Big B and talking to him, it all became possible through KBC. These are the best moments of my life. People walk up to me now and tell me I did wonders on the show. I have shut a lot of mouths with my stint in KBC. My confidence got a boost too.”

Nareshi expressed her happiness at being able to buy back the jewelry her mother had sold for her treatment, and she also mentioned that one of the first things she did after returning from the show was to give her aunt a pair of gold earrings. “I feel happy that I will be able to make the jewelry that my mom sold off for my treatment. I am happy they got a little famous because of me. They have been very happy. People have been congratulating me. When I returned home, my entire village kept a welcome party.”

Nareshi opened up and spoke about how she would love to meet Paresh Rawal and Nana Patekar, as she loves their work and is a big fan.

“I am a big fan of them,” she says. When asked how she would use the prize money after she makes her mother’s jewelry, When asked about her future plans with the money she won, she said, “I am not sure, but I want to build my home. However, that is not confirmed since I have to get married too.”

Nareshi shared that she had been trying to get on KBC since 2017, but despite clearing several auditions, it took her seven years to finally make it to the show. When she finally reached the hot seat, her family was overjoyed. “No one ever thought I would be there, so all of them were very happy. I never told anybody about this until the KBC people came to shoot.”
