Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister and popular actor Pawan Kalyan has achieved a rare and special honour in the world of Japanese martial arts. He has been formally inducted into Kenjutsu, which is the ancient Japanese art of sword fighting used by Samurai warriors.

Pawan Kalyan has been awarded the prestigious Fifth Dan (5th Dan) rank by Sogo Budo Kanri Kai, one of the most respected organisations in traditional Japanese martial arts. This recognition is considered very rare and is given only to individuals who show deep knowledge, skill, and dedication to martial arts.

According to reports, this honour is the result of more than 30 years of hard training and research in martial arts and Samurai traditions. Pawan Kalyan’s journey began when he was in his early twenties while living in Chennai, where he first started learning Karate. Over the years, his interest grew into a serious study of martial arts philosophy, discipline, and traditional combat techniques.

A recently released video shows his long journey in martial arts, starting from the age of 20. The video explains how martial arts helped him develop important qualities such as discipline, speed, agility, focus, and mental strength, which later shaped his personality and career.

Apart from the Fifth Dan rank, Pawan Kalyan has also been honoured by the Golden Dragons organisation, which gave him the special title “Tiger of Martial Arts”. This title recognises his long-term commitment and contribution to martial arts.

In another rare achievement, Pawan Kalyan has become the first Telugu-speaking person to be inducted into the Takeda Shingen Clan, a respected Samurai lineage. This honour is usually given only to Japanese practitioners and is rarely extended to outsiders.

His martial arts skills were further developed under the guidance of Hanshi Professor Dr Siddiq Mahmoodi, a well-known martial arts expert. Under his mentorship, Pawan Kalyan also gained high-level training in Kendo, a modern Japanese martial art.

Through popular films like Thammudu, Khushi, and his upcoming movie OG, Pawan Kalyan has brought real martial arts techniques to Indian cinema, inspiring many people to learn and respect these ancient traditions.
