Malaika Arora’s father Anil commits suicide, No note found yet
Anil was immediately brought to Bhabha Hospital, where doctors confirmed him dead.
Anil Arora, Malaika Arora‘s father, is reported to have committed suicide on Wednesday morning in the Bandra neighbourhood of Mumbai. The incident happened at Ayesha Manor in Bandra (West) at around 10.30 am, Mumbai police authorities told The Indian Express. Anil and his family lived on the sixth floor of the building. The police stated that they had not yet retrieved any notes and are conducting enquiries with his relatives. “Prima facie, it seems to be a case of suicide, but we are probing the incident from all angles. A process to file an accidental death report is on,” according to Bandra police.
Anil was immediately brought to Bhabha Hospital, where doctors confirmed him dead. A senior officer stated that his body would be transported to Cooper Hospital for a post-mortem examination, which will be captured on tape.
Malaika’s family, relatives, and ex-husband, actor Arbaaz Khan, were spotted visiting them in the morning. A team of Bandra police was also on the scene conducting an investigation. Meanwhile, a source informed PTI, “It’s true that Malaika’s father passed away this morning. He has not committed suicide, it’s an accident. They all are shocked because he had no ailment or anything as such.” The police ‘panchnama’ will clarify the situation, according to the source.

Malaika’s parents divorced when she was eleven, and she relocated to Chembur with her mother and sister Amrita. Her mother, Joyce Polycarp, is a Malayali Christian, and her father, Anil Arora, is a Punjabi Hindu from the Indian border town of Fazilka who served in the Indian Merchant Navy. Arbaaz and Malaika married for 19 years before splitting up in 2016. Their divorce was finalised in 2017. Arbaaz is currently married to makeup artist Sshura Khan. Malaika was dating actor Arjun Kapoor for a few years before speculations surfaced that the two had ended their relationship. Arbaaz and Malaika’s only son, Arhaan, was born in 2002.
