Aamir Khan has made his upcoming film official. The Bollywood superstar recently disclosed the title of his upcoming film, Sitare Zameen Par, at a media event he attended. The actor claimed that the movie and his 2007 release Taare Zameen Par shares a similar concept.
"I have not spoken about it publicly and I won't be able to say much now also. But I can tell the title. The title of the film is Sitare Zameen Par. You must have remembered my film Taare Zameen Par and the name of this film is Sitare Zameen Par because we are moving 10 steps ahead with the same theme. Taare Zameen Par was an emotional film, this film will make you laugh. That film made you cry this one will entertain you," assured Khan.
But the theme is the same, he continued, "That's why we kept this name very thoughtfully. We all have flaws, we all have weaknesses, but we all also have something special, so we are taking forward this theme, but this time, the character of the special child Ishaan in that film -my character helps that character in Taare Zameen Par. In Sitare Zameen Par, those nine boys, who have their own issues, help me. It's the opposite.”
Taare Zameen Par, which Aamir directed for the first time, received positive reviews from critics. Darsheel Zafari, Tisca Chopra, Vipin Sharma, and Khan all appeared in the movie. Ishaan, an eight-year-old bright youngster, was followed. In the play, Aamir performed the character of the boy's art teacher, who finds out the boy has dyslexia and helps him reach his full potential.
Aamir Khan upcoming projects
Multiple projects are also being produced by Aamir Khan. All three films—Lahore 1947 with Rajkumar Santoshi and Sunny Deol, Laapata Ladies (directed by ex-wife Kiran Rao), another one starring his son Junaid Khan, and Lahore Ladies—are backed by Khan. Furthermore, he added that he is "looking forward to them".
The most recent film in which the actor appeared was Advait Chandan's Laal Singh Chaddha. The Forrest Gump movie classic had an official remake. Mona Singh, Naga Chaitanya, and Kareena Kapoor were also included. The movie did poorly at the box office. Following the failure of the movie, Khan announced he was taking a break from work and would spend time with his family.
Aamir was asked about his upcoming movie release date at a recent book launch to which the Dangal actor answered, " Iss waqt main apni family life bohot enjoy kar raha hu, baccho ke saath main waqt bita raha hu, mummy ke saath ghar pe aur main production house pe bhi dhyaan de raha hu, film main produce kar raha hu. Main pehel bohot kaam films produce karta tha, lekin abhi humlog kaafi films produce karne ki soch rahe hain." (At the moment, I'm enjoying my family time, relaxing at home, and focusing on my production house).
