A major cheating scandal has been exposed in Rajasthan, where students were caught openly copying answers during the ongoing State Open School examinations. This incident was discovered during a raid at an examination centre in Phalodi, led by Secretary Aruna Rajoria.

During the raid at the Kolu Ka Bera examination centre in Dechu, Phalodi, officials found that staff members were writing answers on a whiteboard inside the examination hall. Videos from the scene showed students taking notes from the whiteboard while the exam was in progress. One student at the centre confirmed, "The staff wrote the answers on the whiteboard and left the hall."

This revelation occurred the same day the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) made significant progress in the Bihar NEET-UG paper leak case. The CBI arrested two more individuals, including a key suspect accused of stealing the exam paper from a National Testing Agency's trunk in Hazaribagh, Jharkhand. This brings the total number of arrests concerning the NEET-UG exam irregularities to 14.

The leaked NEET-UG question paper was allegedly obtained from Oasis School in Hazaribagh by the notorious Sanjeev Kumar alias Lutan Mukhiya solver gang. The Economic Offence Wing (EOU) of Bihar Police confirmed the leak's origin after matching a partially burnt question paper recovered from a safe house in Patna with a reference paper provided by the NTA.

The NEET-UG exam, conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA), is crucial for admissions to MBBS, BDS, AYUSH, and other related courses in government and private institutions. This year, the exam took place on May 5 at 4,750 centres in 571 cities, including 14 international locations, with over 23 lakh candidates appearing for the test.

The exposure of this cheating scandal in Rajasthan highlights the ongoing challenges in ensuring the integrity of examination processes nationwide. Authorities are expected to take stringent actions to prevent such incidents in the future and maintain the credibility of the education system.
