The Philippines on Friday recognized BrahMos Aerospace's item demand suggestion to give supersonic excursion rockets to its maritime power. The huge game plan worth $374.9 million was bestowed to India through a Notice of Award by the Philippines Department of National Defense, supported by Secretary Delfinn Lorenzana. The solicitation directed the BrahMos Aerospace to give the supply of the Shore-based Anti-transport Missile System with ten calendar days of getting the solicitation.

On January 11, the Indian Navy and Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) successfully test-fired the BrahMos Supersonic Cruise missile.

The missile is a joint undertaking among India and Russia where DRDO tends to the Indian side.

The missile was assessed by INS Visakhapatnam which is the latest warship of the Indian Navy acknowledged lately.
