In Uttar Pradesh's Bulandshahr district, an unmarried couple was found hanging from a mango tree on Monday, police officials stated. The case has raised concerns about the possible circumstances leading to their deaths.
Two victims who have been identified as Karan (25 years old) and Khushi (19 years old), are a resident of Pandrawal village which falls in Chhatari area of Bulandshahr. The villagers claimed to have found two dead bodies at the outskirts of the village.
According to Dibai Circle Officer (CO) Shobhit Kumar, police were informed about the incident and reached the spot immediately. When they reached the spot, they saw two bodies hanging from a mango tree.
"The bodies of a man and a woman were hanging from a mango tree. A forensic team was called to collect evidence from the site," Kumar explained.
The officer stated that preliminary investigations suggest that the couple died by suicide. However, clarity on the exact cause of death will only emerge after the post-mortem examination is completed.
Though the police continued their investigation, the Circle Officer assured legal proceedings to ascertain all aspects of the incident.
This incident again brings forward the growing necessity for mental health awareness and support. Often, individuals facing personal or societal challenges may feel entrapped, leading to such tragic outcomes. It is a matter of high importance to know signs of distress and provide them with timely help.
