Two security guards were shot and killed during a daylight robbery in Bidar, Karnataka, on Thursday. The incident took place at Shivaji Chowk, a busy area in the town, where the guards were about to refill an SBI ATM with Rs 93 lakh in cash.

The guards identified as Giri Venkatesh and Shiva Kashinath worked for CMS Agency, which manages ATM cash refills. Police said the robbers, who were riding a motorcycle, shot the guards with eight bullets before stealing the money.

The robbery took place around 11:30 am on Thursday when two security guards arrived at an ATM in Bidar. The robbers opened fire on the guards and quickly fled the scene with the cash, leaving behind a scene of panic and fear. 

The local police quickly responded to the robbery, arriving at the scene and securing the area by blocking off nearby roads. Investigations are ongoing, with multiple police teams working to identify and catch the criminals behind the brutal attack.

Authorities are examining CCTV footage and other evidence to reconstruct the events leading to the crime. While no arrests have been made yet, police are optimistic about making progress in the investigation soon.
