Two individuals, Ajaz and Irshand, have been apprehended by the police for allegedly deceiving people through fraudulent advertisements. Ajaz and Irshand would create fake advertisements, primarily disseminated through social media platforms. These ads promised financial rewards to individuals willing to impregnate women who were seeking to conceive. The accused preyed on people’s vulnerability and desperation, using fabricated images of women to make their offers appear legitimate.
When someone expressed interest in participating, the duo would initiate contact. They would then demand registration fees and an initial filing cost from their victims. These fees were ostensibly necessary to facilitate the process of connecting potential parents. However, once the payment was made, Ajaz and Irshand would abruptly sever communication with the victims, leaving them defrauded and disillusioned.
Legal Proceedings
Authorities have uncovered more than four counterfeit Facebook accounts associated with this fraudulent operation. These accounts perpetuated the scam, luring unsuspecting individuals into their web of deceit. The fake advertisements were carefully crafted to manipulate emotions and create a sense of urgency, further convincing victims to part with their money.
The arrested individuals were presented in court on Saturday and have been remanded to judicial custody pending further legal proceedings. The judge ordered them to remain in custody until further legal proceedings. The investigation is ongoing to uncover the full extent of their activities and identify any additional victims of their elaborate ruse.
