A shocking murder case from Annamayya district has grabbed the attention of the Telugu states, which has unveiled a father's extreme response to the alleged sexual abuse of his daughter.
What happened?
Anjaneya Prasad, a 35-year-old man working in Kuwait has returned to India solely with one aim: to take vengeance for the alleged molestation of his 12-year-old daughter. His wife had come back to India having reported about the incident and he decided to take justice into his own hands when he felt that the local authorities had failed to act.
Prasad and his wife Chandrakala had been staying in Kuwait for years as the relatives from Andhra Pradesh looked after the girl. At one time she was being taken care of by the girl's maternal aunt and her husband Gutta Anjaneyulu, aged 59 suffering from physical deformity who committed the crime.
When Chandrakala came to know, she filed a case against the said molested accused Anjaneyulu at the local police station. However, reports indicate that the police simply warned the accused while dismissing the claims of the family without further action.
Fed up with the inaction of the police, Prasad flew back to India on December 6. He confronted Anjaneyulu when he was sleeping outside his house and attacked him with an iron rod, killing the man. Prasad returned to Kuwait on the same day after committing the murder.
After the incident, Prasad posted a video confession on his YouTube channel where he admitted that he killed Anjaneyulu and stated that he had to do so because law enforcement did not. The police have registered a case against him and are working to bring him back to India from Kuwait.
