A man from Karnataka slit the throat of his friend, suspecting an affair with his wife, and drank his blood. The horrific incident happened on June 19, which was recorded by a third person on a phone, and took place near Siddepalli cross of Chintamani taluk.

The accused identified as Vijay became enraged after suspecting an affair between his wife and a friend named Maresh. Despite multiple warnings to refrain from interacting with his wife, Vijay's concerns went unheeded.

On July 19, Vijay, accompanied by his cousin John Babu, lured Maresh to a nearby farm under the pretense of showing him the crops. Their argument escalated and Vijay, in a fit of rage, allegedly slit Maresh's throat with a sharp-edged weapon. In a mobile phone video taken by a witness, Vijay is seen holding his friend down, appearing to drink his blood.

Vijay appears to question Maresh, who lies with his throat cut open. He asks him if he should kill him.

He is seen bending down and appearing to drink the blood oozing from Maresh's throat. Vijay is also seen punching and slapping the injured man.

The man was arrested after the chilling video went viral on social media. Fortunately, Maresh managed to escape and seek medical attention at a nearby hospital.

Following the incident, Chintamani police promptly detained the accused, and being questioned, police said, adding they have registered a case under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code.

The incident has sent shockwaves through the local community, highlighting the extreme consequences of jealousy and possessiveness.
