A 28-year-old man, Bhola Ahirwar, who was on the run after killing the grandfather of a minor he raped in Chattarpur district in Madhya Pradesh, shot himself dead during a police chase and shootout.
He shot himself after sharing his location on social media. The video of him shooting himself is surfacing on the internet. He recorded a video and shared it on social media, admitting his involvement in the crime. He also claimed that the police registered a case against him after taking a bribe.
The police also placed a reward of Rs 20,000 on information leading to Ahirwar arrest after he was on the run ever since the minor filed the complaint.
As per police officials, Ahirwar informed the Superintendent of Police (SP) of his whereabouts. Eventually, when the police arrived at the location, he opened, and the police also fired in response. During the exchange of fire, Ahirwar put the gun on himself and shot him, and they found the empty cartridges from the location.
After the minor logged a complaint against Ahirwar, he reached her home and asked her to return her complaint. When the minor’s grandfather intervened and resisted taking back the complaint, Ahirwar shot him in the chest. Then he turned his attention to the survival and shot her in the stomach.
When Ahirwar tried to flee after the incident, the minor's uncle tried to stop him, and he was shot too by him. The minor and his uncle were rushed to the nearby hospital, while the grandfather was found dead on the spot.
