Another shocking case has come up where a young 20 year old youth was stabbed multiple times by a man in East Delhi area of Nand Nagri.

The accused, Sohaib who is 22 years old has been arrested and is in police custody, while the victim, Kasim was sent to AIIMS Trauma Centre by doctors of GTB hospital for further treatment.

The CCTV video of the incidence has gone viral as it shows Sohaib stabbing Kasim, while some women are screaming to get help to save Kasim. While initially passersby did not interfere and kept watching without offering help, there was a huge crowd once the accuses ran away from the spot.

It is said that the two had an altercation a few days back where Kasim had punched Sohaib.

The Nand Nagri Police Station received a PCR call on 10:37PM on Thursday regarding the incident.

"Immediately, police teams reached the spot and also the hospital and the medico-legal case (MLC) of Kasim was obtained. The injured did not give any statement," the police official said.

"The accused and victim are residents of the same locality. Facts about the incident are being ascertained and a case under section 307 (attempt to murder) is being registered."

A similar incidence had taken place last month as a 16 year old girl was stabbed multiple times and bludgeoned to death by her 20 year old boyfriend in public in Shahbad Dairy area of Delhi.

The accused, Sahil Khan had stabbed her atleast 20 times and then hit her with a boulder till she died. He was later arrested by police.

Such type of incidences raise the question as to why don't people interfere or try to save/help the victim and if the passersby have any duty to do so?
