Three bike-borne men allegedly stabbed a 22-year-old man to death in the Harsh Vihar area of northeast Delhi, after the former told them to drive safely. While the man died, his brother suffered multiple injuries as per the Delhi Police.

The police said they had arrested one of the accused Vikas (22) and recovered the motorcycle used in the crime.

The incident occurred when the victim, identified as Ankur, was returning from a Dussehra fair with his brother, Himanshu. Ankur is a resident of Pratap Nagar, said the police.

According to an initial investigation, Ankur and Himanshu were brutally thrashed by a biker with two passengers on Saboli Road. The biker became enraged after Ankur and Himanshu advised him to drive safely. During the assault, one of the accused pulled out a knife and stabbed both of them.

After the incident, Ankur’s brother Himanshu who suffered knife wounds on his neck and thigh, managed to rush Ankur to a nearby hospital in an e-rickshaw where doctors declared him dead.

Ankur was brutally stabbed with multiple wounds on his chest, stomach and thigh. The body was later handed to the family members after the postmortem, said the police. It added, “We arrested one of the accused and the remaining two are still absconding.”

The CCTV footage was reviewed, showing three men stabbing Ankur and his brother in a crowded public area. It also shows a man attempting to apprehend one of the attackers as he tries to flee.

Ankur's family has demanded strict action against the accused. This is not an isolated incident of stabbing in Delhi. Earlier, a case was reported where three boys allegedly stabbed their 16-year-old friend to death for not treating them to buying a new phone.
