An FIR was recently registered after it was reported that Rs 50 lakh worth of lights were stolen from Bhakti Path and Ram Path in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh. As per the police reports, close to 3800 bamboo lights and 36 custom gobo projector lights amounting to over Rs 50 lakhs were taken from this high-security zone.
Yash Enterprises and Krishna Automobiles, which were hired by the Ayodhya Development Authority, had placed 6,400 bamboo lights on Ram Path and 96 gobo projector lights on Bhakti Path. In the aftermath of the reprisal, an FIR was lodged on August 9 at the Ram Janmabhoomi police station with a complaint filed by one of the representatives. While the company learned of the theft in May, it only reported the theft on August 9.
Shekhar Sharma,the complaint representative of the firm said "As many as 6,400 bamboo lights were installed on Rampath and 96 projector lights were installed on Bhakti Path. Till 19 March all the lights were there but after an inspection on May 9, it was found that some lights were missing. Till now around 3,800 bamboo lights and 36 projector lights have been stolen by some unknown thieves.”
A number of changes were observed in the city of Ayodhya in Uttar Pradesh in preparation for the consecration ceremony in the Ram Mandir. Prime Minister Narendra Modi was at the helm to inaugurate the consecration of the deity of Lord Ram at Ram Janmabhoomi Temple. The historic ‘Pran Pritshtha’ ceremony was viewed by millions of families who watched it live from their homes or ‘Garbas’ in nearby religious temples.
Subsequently to the Pran Pratishtha, the temple was inaugurated and opened for the devotees. From this time up to the present, many devotees have been pouring into the holy city and many of whom are from the neighbouring states.
