In a nationwide crackdown, the Delhi Police's Special Cell has arrested nine members against the criminal module of absconding alleged terrorist Satinderjeet Singh aka of Goldy Brar and Lawrence Bishnoi gang from the seven states- Delhi, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, and Bihar. Police have also apprehended a minor in the two-week operation, officials said on Wednesday, April 8th, 2024.
According to Delhi Police, by doing this, they have prevented contract killings and other horrible crimes from being organized in Delhi and other states. The terrorist Brar is said to be in Canada, while his accomplice Bishnoi is incarcerated at Sabarmati prison in Ahmedabad, Gujarat.
Police added that while keeping an eye on the suspects' actions and increasing surveillance on social media platforms, they stumbled onto discussions that implicated the suspects. This led to the identification of the suspects.
The Delhi Police's special cell detained two each from Delhi, UP, and Punjab, and one each from Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, and Bihar between April 27 and May 2. The unit also retrieved seven handguns, thirty-one live cartridges, and eleven cell phones.
The first arrests, police said, were made in New Delhi on April 27. Jaspreet Singh alias Rahul, 25, was arrested near Shastri Park Pusta while Dharmendra alias Kartik was nabbed near Hazrat Nizamuddin Railway Station. On the same day, another team arrested 22-year-old Abhay Soni alias Kartik alias Kabir in Jaipur. Simultaneously, teams nabbed Sachin Kumar alias Rahul, 26, from Lucknow along with a minor. In another raid, on April 27, 20-year-old Santosh alias Sultan Baba was arrested in Ratlam, MP.

According to police, they have credible information that an interstate module led by infamous gangsters Bishnoi, who is now in prison, and Brar, who is stationed overseas, is actively involved in extortion, murder, and other horrible crimes in Delhi, the National Capital Region, and neighboring states.
According to a police officer, the detained guys were in contact with Brar and Bishnoi and were plotting to carry out retaliatory killings in Delhi and Rajasthan against members of the rival Tillu Tajpuria gang. On April 24, a case was filed at Special Cell in this respect.
A senior official informed the Indian Express that the operation was organized on a tip from police that Manjeet, one of the men detained, was "constantly in contact with Brar over Telegram and Signal, and they were planning something big in Delhi”. “During questioning, they revealed they were going to be provided with the name of the person to be killed a day before… it was all going to happen within a few weeks.”
According to a statement by the Special Cell on Wednesday, all the arrested gang members were “connected with each other through Facebook, Instagram, and other encrypted chat platforms”.
"While monitoring the activities of this syndicate, some incriminatory conversation amongst the members of this syndicate sitting in different states came to notice through technical surveillance wherein they were conspiring to carry out some killing/heinous crime which was further corroborated by source input," Deputy Commissioner of Police, Special Cell, Prateeksha Godara said. It was also learned that these gangsters had also procured weapons.
"To avert the nefarious designs of these members, a case was registered at Special Cell on April 24 under relevant provisions of IPC. Multiple teams were constituted and dispatched immediately at different locations in all the states where these members were located," the DCP said.
In 2011, Lawrence Bishnoi, who is incarcerated in Ahmedabad's Sabarmati Jail, met Goldy Brar, with whom he is presently close. After that, the two began committing crimes on campus and were active in university politics.
According to reports, Bishnoi currently commands around 700 sharpshooters, most of whom are based in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, and Haryana, although they are dispersed throughout the nation. They are all connected to many crimes of robbery, assault, extortion, murder, and attempt to kill. Bishnoi had allied with the Kala Jathedi syndicate in addition to joining forces with Jitendra Gogi's gang.
Neeraj Bawana, Kaushal, Bambiha, and Naveen Bali had allied with their rival group, the Tajpuria gang. The conflict between Gogi and Sunil, also known as Tillu Tajpuria, began in 2012 and continued until 2021 when many of their allies were killed. Gogi was murdered in September 2021 in Rohini Court by two Tajpuria-employed thugs posing as attorneys. Tajpuria was fatally murdered in jail in May 2023 by four guys connected to the Gogi gang.
