Retirement is normally something that occurs when individuals become old after working for decades. But a Russian young man has stunned everyone by retiring at the age of 23!

Russia's Pavel Stepchenko has retired at the record-breaking age of 23. It is rare that individuals begin their careers in their 20s, and yet Pavel has retired already. But what's even more shocking is that he is receiving retirement perks, including a lifetime pension. His record was registered by the International Record Registration Agency and is included in Russia's National Record Book.

Started working at 21, retired at 23

Pavel's career started when he enrolled at the educational institution of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs at the age of 16. He studied there for five years, and when he was 21, he received employment in one of the departments of the Ministry.

He served for two years before choosing to retire. Pavel requested retirement in November 2023, and it was granted.

Pavel's premature retirement surprised individuals all over the world since most individuals retire after decades of employment. Pavel's record-breaking retirement at 23 made him an international sensation.
