In Malad, a suburb on the outskirts of Mumbai, that has left many questioning the motivations behind the actions of a thief.

On January 2, an unexpected crime took a bizarre turn when a burglar, after breaking into a woman's house and finding nothing of value, ended up kissing her before fleeing the scene.

The incident happened in the quiet neighborhood of Malad. According to the woman who filed the complaint, she was home alone when a man, later identified as Chanchal Chaudhary, broke into her house. The accused locked the door from the inside, gagged her, and demanded her valuable possessions, including earrings, cash, her mobile phone, and an ATM card.

However, since nothing of value was found in the house, the thief's move was shocking. Instead of stealing anything, the accused kissed the woman and ran off.

After the thief ran away, the woman immediately called the police and lodged a complaint at the Kurar Police Station. The authorities swung into action very quickly, and an investigation was launched. Chanchal Chaudhary was arrested by the police within hours of the complaint being lodged.

This rare case's culprit, Chanchal Chaudhary, is found to have no previous criminal charges against him. He is living in the same neighborhood as his victim. Not working and currently staying with his family, nothing much can be said about his motive. As the case has already gone on to investigation stages, it further investigates his mentality and what may have triggered the whole situation for him.

The police confirmed that the suspect acted alone and has no criminal history. Even as his motive still baffles the public.

Authorities are still investigating and further details are to be revealed in the coming days.
