A Punjab man attempted to dress like his girlfriend and take an exam on her behalf on the 7th of January, but his plan failed after he was caught.
This incident occurred in Punjab's Faridkot, during a multi-purpose health workers' test hosted by the Baba Farid University of Health Sciences at the DAV Public School in Kotkapura.
Angrez Singh opted to take the test under the name of his lover Paramjit Kaur. He dressed with red bangles, lipstick, and a bindi, and donned a ladies' outfit. However, officials promptly noticed the incident and filed a complaint with the local police.
Singh attempted to mimic his partner by presenting fake voter and Aadhar cards to verify his identity as Paramjit Kaur.
When his fingerprints were found to differ from the real candidate's on the biometric equipment, it all came apart within minutes.
Although Angrez is the target of legal action, the administration denied Paramjit's application.
"We are looking into the complaint that we got from Baba Farid University of Health Sciences. After we finish our investigation, we will take the necessary steps," the police stated, according to India Today.
The news has now been dubbed "relationship goals" by online users, who are expecting to soon discover a love similar to this.
The issue of phoney applicants showing up for exams is grave; in 2011, there was another instance of this in Mohali, Punjab. A recent graduate made an appearance in the Punjab School Education Board's ongoing class XII examinations as a phoney applicant. After the impostor was taken into custody, it was discovered that he had appeared on his uncle's behalf.
