How can someone keep a dangerous dog like a pitbull without ensuring safety? In Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, a pitbull attacked its owner’s 26-year-old son, Aditya Shankar Gangwar, biting off his lips and part of his face. The terrifying incident took place in the Khalilpur area, where Aditya was left badly injured. Neighbours heard his screams and rushed to help him. The dog, known for its fierce temperament, had turned on its owner, leaving the family in shock and fear.

Aditya had surgery on Monday night to treat his injuries. Dr. Kaushal Kumar, a senior doctor, helped take care of him. The dog was caught by the municipal team and is now kept in a special Animal Birth Centre to stop it from hurting anyone else.

Forest department ranger Vaibhav Chaudhary and Guru Charanjit Singh from the civic body confirmed that the dog was caught. Although the dog is calm now, the workers at the centre are still scared to go near it because of its aggressive nature. This attack shows how dangerous pitbulls can be, as they are known for being very fierce and unpredictable.

Don't tease dogs without their owner

Never tease or approach a dog when its owner is not around. Dogs can feel scared or threatened without their owner’s presence and may react aggressively. Always respect a dog’s space, and remember, not all dogs are friendly, especially when they are alone. Especially with breeds like pitbulls and rottweilers, never go near a dog while it’s eating. They may react aggressively. Never take your dog outside without a muzzle, especially if they are not trained. Proper training is necessary to ensure safety when you have a dog at home.
