A Greater Noida Phi 2 residential society's owners' association has implemented a dress code and has requested the residents to follow the guidelines and be considerate of their dress while in the park or the common area. The notice was issued by the RWA (Resident Welfare Association) of Himsagar Society in Phi 2, Greater Noida, titled "Dress code for walking in the premises of the society."

The circular reads "Residents are requested that whenever you roam in the society at any time, you should pay special attention to your conduct and dress so that you do not give any chance to anyone to object to your behavior. Your children also learn from you. Therefore everyone is requested not to roam around wearing lungis and nighties which are home wear."

AOA President CK Kalra said that the RWA issued the circular after getting several complaints regarding individuals wearing "loose clothes" while doing yoga on the complex which allegedly made some people uncomfortable. Kalra justified that the circular is not targeting any gender but is simply asking residents to follow the dress code.

Some residents are in full support of the dress code and have praised the owners' association while others are criticizing the circular and are calling it a violation of one's preferences.

The president of the Federation of RWAs in Greater Noida, Devender Tiger, is not a fan of the circular issued and said, "A residential society is not an educational institute that needs a dress code." President of the Noida Federation of Apartment Owner's Association (NOFAA), Rajiva Singh said anyone can't define or restrict anyone's dressing choice
