Students at a government engineering college in the Banka region of Bihar reported seeing chunks of what looked to be a snake in the food that was provided in the college canteen, which is a concerning incident of snake contamination. This is the second time in a short period that students have discovered odious or even harmful ingredients in their food.

Government response to snake contamination incident

The government of Bihar has promised to take strong measures against anyone accountable for the tragedy and has begun an investigation into the situation. To make sure that the food being supplied is up to par, the government has also mandated an examination of all state educational facilities.
