In Paris, an individual was arrested by the authorities after jumping from the Eiffel Tower with a parachute, as confirmed by both the police and the management of the monument. The man, who possessed considerable climbing experience, entered the restricted area surrounding the tower shortly after 5:00 a.m. (0300 GMT), well ahead of its official opening time.

Despite swift detection by security personnel, as reported by Sete, the operator of the site, he managed to ascend to the tower's top before being intercepted, carrying the parachute concealed within a backpack. Upon reaching a point near the apex of the tower, he proceeded to make the daring jump from the 330-meter-high structure.

In Paris, law enforcement authorities have apprehended an individual who jumped off the Eiffel Tower using a parachute.

During the early hours of the morning, the man scaled one of the pillars of the iconic landmark. SETE (Société d’Exploitation de la tour Eiffel), the company responsible for managing the tower, reported that security personnel detected the man's presence within a minute of his entry onto the site. Despite efforts by the tower's intervention brigade to dissuade him, he proceeded with his parachute jump from the structure.

After his leap, he safely landed on the roof of a nearby sports centre and was subsequently arrested by the police.

As a result of this incident, SETE has filed a formal complaint. In their official statement, they strongly condemned "such reckless actions that put the safety of those working on or around the structure at risk." Due to the incident, the tower's opening on Thursday morning experienced a minor delay.

This occurrence marks the most recent incident in a string of security-related events at the location over the past week.

On Monday, two American men were discovered following a night of inebriation atop the Eiffel Tower, as reported by the monument's management to CNN. These individuals, who had acquired tickets for the renowned Iron Tower on Sunday evening, reportedly found themselves "allegedly stranded there due to their excessive consumption of alcohol," according to the Paris prosecutor's office.

Additionally, on the previous Saturday, the tower underwent an evacuation lasting several hours in response to a bomb threat. The evacuation encompassed the tower's three levels and the surrounding courtyard, all of which were cleared while authorities assessed the potential threat.
