At a time when the youth and people by an enlarge are facing cutthroat competition in seeking stable and secure jobs at least in India if not the entire world, unusual ways of trying to get the dream jobs are reported very commonly.

Now one such incident has come to light in Gujarat when all the boundaries of desperation were broken as two candidates decided to fiddle with the tried and proven biometric system to get through the exam by plotting to mirror their fingerprints.

The two job aspirants who were friends made a plan in which the candidate who was originally registered to sit in the exam peeled off his thumb skin and pasted it in on his friend’s hand who was supposedly good in studies and decided to help his friend pass the exam by appearing for it in his place.

The two are identified as residents of Bihar in their mid-20s. The matter of suspicion arose when the thumb impression of a candidate identifying himself as Manish Kumar failed to verify even after multiple attempts, after which the supervisor sprayed sanitizer on his left thumb and the planted skin came off.

Later both the friends were arrested and on investigation, the police informed that a day before the test, the registered candidate put his left thumb on a hot cooking pan which created a blister. He then removed the skin using a blade and pasted it on his friend's left thumb as he knew that there would be biometric verification before the test.

As the plan didn’t bring any fruition for the two accused, experts said that such transfers of fingerprints will never be successful since during any injury of this nature the skin tends to lose its original structure and thus with excessive burning the ridges of an individual’s skin become irrecognizable by the biometric systems.
