In an unusual incident, a wedding guest in Hamidpur village, Uttar Pradesh, drove a minibus into the wedding mandap after getting angry about not getting enough paneer. Upset over the situation, he reacted unexpectedly and shockingly.

About the bizarre case

Dharmendra Yadav, also called “Bamboo”, had earlier brought the wedding guests to the venue in his minibus. Later, when he was denied extra paneer at the food counter, he got furious. To take revenge, he drove the minibus into the wedding venue, injuring several guests and crashing into the mandap wall, according to TOI. The groom’s father, the bride’s uncle, and four others were seriously hurt.

Meanwhile, the local police have started an investigation and formed a special team to catch the driver. Mughalsarai Inspector Gagan Raj Singh said that the injured were quickly taken to the trauma centre at BHU. Police teams are working to arrest the driver, he added. During the investigation, it was found that on Saturday evening, a wedding procession had arrived from Pahadi village in Varanasi's Manduadih for the marriage of Rajnath Yadav's daughter in Hamidpur.
